Built in 1746, Powis House Estate sits beneath the Ochil Hills on 10 acres of private gardens, just minutes from Stirling Castle and the Highlands beyond.
Cottages

Powis East and Powis Mid are two beautifully restored self-catering cottages, each blending centuries of history with every modern comfort. Guests enjoy views across the peaceful estate gardens, private woodland walks, and the kind of stillness that's increasingly hard to find. Both cottages are fully equipped for a home-from-home stay — central heating, wood-burning stoves, Smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, fully fitted kitchens, washing machines, quality linens and eco-friendly toiletries throughout.

The Scottish Estate

For larger gatherings, Powis East and Mid connect through a shared door to form a single private estate sleeping up to 12 — ideal for family reunions, multi-generational breaks and group celebrations. There is no better base for exploring central Scotland.
Powis Cottages
Powis Mid Cottage
Powis Mid is made for families and groups of friends who want space, comfort and room to breathe. Upstairs are two king bedrooms and a bunk room, served by a shower room and separate bathroom. Downstairs, a generous kitchen-diner opens onto the rear garden, orchard and outdoor seating — and a traditional stone corridor connects the living room, utility room and a dedicated games room for younger guests. The kind of house where everyone finds their own corner.
Powis East Cottage
The oldest part of the estate, Powis East has the kind of character that can't be designed — low ceilings, stone floors and a sense that the walls have stories to tell. Upstairs are two large king bedrooms, one en suite, a twin room and a second bathroom. Downstairs, a large living room with wood-burning stove leads through to a breakfast room and out onto a private balcony and deck, complete with a 6–8 person electric hot tub. The kitchen is generous enough for a full group, with a library nook and seating area alongside, all opening onto the private garden.
