About

Powis House is our family home and we think it's a magical place. We left our life in the city because we fell in love with the house and the grounds. We hope to share some of that magic with you whilst building an environmentally conscious business that supports our local community, perfect for travellers seeking style, charm and want to feel good about where they are staying.

Our goals in 2025 are to generate all our energy on site through solar and transition

100% to eco-friendly toiletries and cleaning product.

By the end of 2026 we hope to provide potable spring water sourced from Powis, organically grown fresh produce from the grounds, and have set up our first community initiative.

Powis House

History

Powis House, located near Stirling, Scotland, was built in 1746 and has a rich history tied to the region’s heritage. Originally constructed as a private estate, it has witnessed significant periods of Scottish history, including the Jacobite uprisings. The house has retained its Georgian architectural charm and has been home to various families over the centuries. Its proximity to landmarks like Stirling Castle and the Battle of Bannockburn site ties it closely to Scotland’s historic past, making it a noteworthy property in the region’s cultural landscape.
