Where you stay shapes how you remember a place. Powis is somewhere to wake slowly, share long breakfasts, walk the gardens, soak beneath an open sky and come back to after a day out exploring. People have lived, worked and gathered here for nearly three centuries, and it is a home first.
Holidays are rarely remembered for how much was packed into them. Morning coffee in the garden, a walk before breakfast, cold water and then a hot tub, an afternoon in Stirling or Edinburgh, an evening by the fire. The estate gives you room to do less.

A very good place to come back to
Powis sits just outside Stirling, well placed for castles, lochs, mountains and cities. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perthshire and the Highlands are all an easy drive. The best part of the day is often turning back through the estate gates.
The work continues...
Since becoming custodians in 2023 we've been restoring Powis steadily - repairing buildings, putting in renewable energy, digging a natural swimming lake, adding new accommodation, planting gardens and looking after the woodland for whoever comes next. Not to make it flawless, but to keep it a place people enjoy being in.
